Awareness through Movement classes are a great option for anyone wanting to experience the benefits of the Feldenkrais Method in a group setting. Classes focus on broad themes ranging from optimizing hip mobility to improving your mood.
What can I expect?
Each class begins with a brief check in followed by a gentle movement lesson and an opportunity to ask questions afterward.
Lessons are verbally guided and often done lying down, sitting in a chair or in a standing position. If you find any of these positions uncomfortable, most lessons can be adapted to fit your needs. Movements are designed to be done slowly and in a small range of motion. They should not cause any additional discomfort or pain. It's all about prioritizing your comfort!
